Life is like a film;
In which we’re the actors.
The whole world is like a screen;
On which the film is shown.
Events are the stories;
Results are the songs.
Time is the director;
As he tells, we act our roles.
Nymphs are the audiences;
And Eden is the censor-board.
God is the chairman of the board;
Weapons of God are the scissors.
By which bad shots are cut off;
And good ones are passed.
Life is like the film;
The world is like the screen.
